TV Guide's "Must-See of the Week"
BACK TO THE BEACH
After its strike-induced hiatus, CSI: Miami returns this week with its first new episode since the January tale that introduced Elizabeth Berkley as Julia, the manipulative mother of Horatio's teenage son Kyle. When last we left Miami, Horatio was attempting to gain custody of problem child Kyle, who was facing trial for kidnapping Kathleen Newberry, the wife of an on-the-take prison guard. But Kathleen mysteriously disappeared before she could testify--and the episode ended with the woman bound and trapped inside her car as it sank into a bog. The CSIs recover the vehicle tonight and begin to unravel that mystery, while also investigating a fatal shooting at a wedding. Aptly titled "You May Now Kill the Bride," the episode opens with the nuptials of a professional baseball player--who may be leading a secret double life. "[His] bride is shot right before she says, 'I do,'" executive producer Ann Donahue teases. "So, she doesn't." -- Joseph Hudak March 24th, 2008

The Cult of Horatio
He has risen through the ranks of television-not to mention the police department-to become a TV star. From his breakthrough as a detective on NYPD Blue to his career-defining role as the fiery Lt. Horatio Caine on CSI: Miami nearly a decade later David Caruso has made his name by playing the tough-as-brass-knuckles cop with a heart as shiny gold as his badge.
